The Synod of Nkhoma includes the Mission Station at Nkhoma and 9 outlying health
centers.
The Nkhoma Hospital has 220 beds and currently only 2 doctors. It
was started by the Dutch Reformed Church in 1890. It has one of the best eye care programs
in all of Malawi.
