Loudon Mission Station was founded in 1902 by Rev. Donald Fraser.
Originally (1902) this was called Loudon Mission Station. Later it became called Embangweni Mission Station. At the 100th anniversary, in Nov. 2002, the name of the Station reverted to it’s original name, Loudon Mission Station. However, it is still called by both names. It resides adjacent to the town of Embangweni and so the two are intertwined.
The station includes a Church – in the original building, a Hospital, 4 schools, a Guest House, the headquarters of Loudon Presbytery (CCAP) as well as housing for many of the workers. There is also a Marion Medical Mission pump manufacturing workshop where pumps are made for over 3000 wells every year.

The Donald Fraser Guest House was opened in 2002. It contains 16 double rooms, 12 of them with private baths. There is also a dining room where guests may purchase meals. Upon request, guests can get laundry done. See their Facebook Page.
